Add audio recordings and visual displays to presentations when appropriate to enhance the development of main ideas or themes.
This culminating project should take 3 or 4 class periods.
The first class period you will need to look at other websites, watch videos (such as the interviews from earlier tasks), think back to previous discussions, and discuss what makes an effective presentation.
For the topic below, tell students that they will need to make a presentation with a written explanation of their claims and evidence, visuals, and a brief oral presentation explaining their work (not just reading it aloud).
Students will need several class periods to work on this, stopping intermittently to share progress and ideas.
Then discuss the previous tasks and what was learned.
Share the presentations as a class and evaluate your work.
