Write the date in your life skills journal.
As you get older and spend less time with your parents and more time with friends, it is important that you find the right friends. Short term friends are friends that can be exciting to be around BUT don't make you a better person and can cause you a lot of stress. Long term friends are different. They are people that you can fully trust and that you want to be friends with for years to come. Here is one list of what makes a long term friend from https://familyshare.com/2700/teach-your-children-how-to-have-good-friends.
Makes me feel good when I’m with her or him.
Respects my beliefs.
Doesn’t make fun of me OR other people even if they are nice to me.
Doesn’t try to get me to do things that are bad.
Doesn’t talk about me behind my back.
Can be trusted.
Helps me be better and make better choices.

2. Look at the Kholberg Poster on the wall by the large whiteboard. What level is a long term friend usually at?
3. Draw a mood meter. Label where a short term friend makes you feel. Label where a long term friend makes you feel.
